Yakovlev Yak-11
The Yak-11 is powered by a 730hp Shvetsov ASL-21 radial engine,
giving a maximum speed of 295mph and a range of 800 miles. A later
development of the Yak-11 was the U-model, which featured tricycle
undercarriage. The U-model was designed to train jet fighter pilots.
The aircraft seen here was originally a C.11 built in Czechoslovakia
in 1956, and exported to Egypt. It was acquired for restoration in
1984 by Yak UK Ltd.
