North American Harvard
The North American Harvard is the British and Commonwealth
designation of the North American Texan T-6, one of the most
successful trainers in the history of aviation. The Texan first flew
in 1936, and was a development of the North American NA-16 prototype trainer.
The Texan/Harvard is the most widely produced trainer aircraft of all
time, with more than 17,000 being produced. Today more than 350
remain airworthy, most of which are based in North America.
