           North American F-86A Sabre G-SABR 
          Golden Apple Operations 
           
            The Sabre first flew on November 27th 1946, and went on to be 
            produced in greater numbers than any other western post-war 
            fixed-wing military aircraft. A total of 9502 Sabres in 13 land- and 
            sea-based versions were produced in America, and under licence in 
            Canada, Australia and Japan.
